Clean Drinking Water is a basic necessity of life. Supply of clean drinking water in the rural areas has always been one of the highest priorities of people.  Lack of water and unclean water leads to several diseases that affect children, women and aged specially.   During the survey the team of SPREAWS identified several problems facing by the people particularly the women and children.  In summer season, the rural women have to walk for long distance to fetch water to bring water from open wells.   With a view to solve the drinking water problem SPREAWS implemented the above mentioned project in the years 2009-2010,2011-2012, 2014-2015, 2017, 2018. Under this programme we have repaired 5 non-functioning bores in 5 villages.  And we have installed 48 new drinking water bores in 38 villages of Kadapa District.  About 26640 people were benefited through this project by getting safe drinking water from our hand pump bores.  Our whole hearted gratitude to the generous donors in HELP A VILLAGE EFFORT (H.A.V.E.), CANADA for supporting this very important project.
