Description :
In the rural and tribal villages of Kadapa district, malaria causes 54% of the deaths among children under the age of five and 35% of the deaths among pregnant women. The people of the 25 selected target villages do not have enough knowledge and resources to prevent and treat malaria. There are not enough trained health workers in the Primary Health Centres of the Villages. Under the effect of this project SPREAWS is undertaking various measures in order to control Malaria. We target on the mosquitoes (the vector) which would infect plasmodium parasite into human blood system, the cause of Malaria in this area being noticed here and there. SPREAWS adopted suitable and effective measures in order to reduce Malaria through controlling both the vector and parasite. SPREAWS is conducting awareness camps in the villages to aware the people to prevent the contact with the vector. We have distributed Mosquito Nets to the target villages people.
