Name of the Project : SAFE AND CLEAN DRINKING WATER BOREWELL IN Â REMOTE WATER SCARCITY VILLAGES
Description: We found in many villages’ men and women reported that they have to go 4 KMs by walking for hours per day to get water from the outskirts of the villages from the Lakes, Ponds, Canals, though the water from the canal is unclean and contaminated. Due to lack of water the people are drinking contaminated water from the canals and water deposits though may not be protected and clean. So, we have installed drinking water borewells in 12 villages of Kadapa district with the grant-in-aid from ‘Kapasi International Relief and Education Assistance (K.I.R.E.A.) Canada.
