In the rural areas, the pressure for getting water fall majorly on the women and thus on the girl children as they used to bear the domestic chores responsibilities. SPREAWS team analyzed various aspects of rural people including their hardships faced to collect water by walking 3 to 4 KMs away. We found many of the children are followed their parents for getting domestic water instead of going to schools, many of the children used to get late to school many a day and they have to be absent half a day or someday even full day.
Our SPREAWS installed Drinking Water Borewells in more than 350 rural, tribal, slum, hilly and interior villages with the donations received from the generous sponsors from UNITED KINGDOM. Our whole hearted gratitude to the sponsors of this project.
